.Hand-crafted from start to finish, this stamped coin features the phrase “When the wind fails, take to the oars,” with a small oar at the bottom of the phrase.
We drew inspiration for this phrase from the Latin proverb, DESTITUTUS VENTIS, REMOS ADHIBE, commonly translated as “If the wind will not serve, take to the oars.” While we usually prefer to use the Latin versions of mottos, we felt that the more direct English translation of this one resonated more deeply with the self-motivated, perseverance, do-it-yourself theme we are aiming for.
We want this phrase to encourage folks to put action and effort into changes they want in the world. We all have goals we want to achieve, and forming the habit of putting in the work when our breeze of external motivation wanes will be the force that gets us there in the end.

Beautiful
Molly in customer service is absolutely wonderful to deal with. I lost a necklace in transit and they so graciously found me a new one - even though it’s not produced anymore. Their artistry and craft is top notch and I highly recommend them to family and friends.

Awesome
I love it! It’s the perfect necklace and I will definitely buy from here again

Got this for my brother who is retiring after more then 30 years on ships. He loved the simple, yet rugged look of the necklace.
