Hand-crafted from start to finish, this brass block pendant features the Latin word INVICTUS which means "unconquerable" or "undefeated."

This pendant was directly inspired by customer suggestions and by the poem of the same title written by William Ernest Henley in 1875.

The poem was published in his first volume of poems, "Book of Verses," in 1888 and was fittingly included in the "Life and Death" section of the book. Many people find the poem to be inspirational, as it depict's the poet's own struggle to find hope amidst a discouraging and painful ordeal. In addition to the nautical elements of Henley's poem, we feel that the phrase "unconquered" and the theme of bravery and resilience in the face of life's hardships aligns well with the mentality we want to encourage. Per Henley's indication, remaining undefeated and continuing to fight for existence and progress can absolutely be a matter of life and death. Each person is in charge of their course through life and how they choose to travel it, so choose to remain determined, defiant, and unconquered by trials and tribulations.
