Hand-crafted from start to finish, this stamped necklace features the phrase "+ than yesterday, - than tomorrow." This is Maritime's take on the famous Augis medaille d'amour ("medal of love"). The original medal of love appeared in French and was inspired by a poem written by Rosemond Gérard for her husband, Edmond Rostand (famous author of the love story Cyrano de Bergerac). The original line from the poem is as follows:
We created this necklace as a reminder that while being in love is a wonderful and heady feeling, maintaining that love requires showing up every day with a commitment to keep loving someone in all of their iterations and to love them more and more each day.
