An original design on a Horween leather stick-on patch, featuring a winged hourglass circled by a quote by Abraham Lincoln: "You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today."

In keeping with our nautical roots, the bottom bell of the hourglass depicts a ship, akin to a ship in a bottle, and the hourglass sand has been replaced by waves. Life aboard ship required all crew members to possess self control and responsibility - the nature of the sea necessitated preparation at all times for any weather, and that extended to taking ownership of one's duties and completing them in a timely manner. If a rope was left untied or a repair not yet done, that could cost a man his life in the next storm. While our survival might not hinge so intensely on our modern-day responsibilities, Lincoln's quote still applies. It is easy to let things pile up and not prepare for the future, but better to fulfill responsibilities today so you can better enjoy tomorrow when it arrives.

- Stick-on patch measures 2 1/4" in diameter
- Peel the backing off of the patch and apply firmly to clean, dry surface.
- Patch location suggestions: phone cases, laptops, even backpacks or jackets

Please note: If the surface you're applying the patch to is super textured (e.g. pebbled or glittered), it might not adhere as well. Additionally, leather will react to the elements, especially water, and will shrunk and potentially disrupt the adhesion on the backing (we recommend against putting this on your car, for example)

I love this! In the land of stickers on everything this stands out! It's classic and serves as a great reminder.
